Forget cramped dorms and paper-thin walls, our students sleep well. Every property on our tours is hand-picked and personally audited by our team, chosen for its comfort, character, and the kind of atmosphere that makes a trip feel special from the moment you walk through the door.

Accommodation is arranged in multi-share rooms, keeping friendship groups together and turning evenings into some of the most memorable parts of the trip. Where multi-level properties are used, the whole group is kept on the same floor, because the best stories happen in the corridor at the end of a big day. Rooms are always single-gender, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and at ease.

From buzzing city stays to properties nestled in some of New Zealand's most spectacular natural settings, our accommodation is chosen to complement the adventure, not just provide a place to sleep.

Travel is provided in either luxurious, comfortable 12-seater vans or spacious, well-equipped buses, designed to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey for all. For everyone’s safety, seat belts are mandatory and must be worn at all times.

Our drivers are highly experienced, fully trained, and thoroughly familiar with New Zealand’s unique road conditions and driving standards. Every driver has undergone police checks and hold the required licenses.

At Students on Tour NZ, we keep bus time to a minimum, our tours are built around experiences, not windscreens. Every itinerary is carefully designed so students spend their time doing, not sitting, with driving kept to short, purposeful transfers between activities.
Even on travel days, we make sure there is plenty to see and do along the way, with stops to explore, stretch your legs, and take in the scenery ensuring the journey never feels like dead time.

Please note that road closures or heavy traffic can occasionally affect travel times — and we will never compromise student safety to hit a schedule.
