Marty is a cornerstone of the Students on Tour team, bringing a wealth of knowledge, passion, and experience to every journey. With a deep understanding of New Zealand’s rich history, vibrant culture, and breathtaking natural landscapes, Marty creates an engaging and insightful travel experience for students.

Born in Iraq and raised in the Middle East, Marty later completed his schooling in New Zealand, earning university qualifications in History and Physical Education. Over his 30+ years of teaching History and Tourism in both New Zealand and Scotland, Marty has also taken on pastoral care leadership roles, further showcasing his dedication to education and student well-being.

When not on tour, Marty enjoys traveling, theatre, and sports. As a proud father of two, a new grandparent, and a devoted dog lover, his warm personality and genuine love for connecting with people shine through in everything he does.

Marty’s exceptional skills as a tour guide and driver, combined with his passion for meeting new people, make him one of the best in the business. His expertise, enthusiasm, and love for sharing the wonders of New Zealand ensure that every tour is not only educational but also truly unforgettable.
